We recognize that finding appropriate, helpful sources of information and assistance is often difficult and frustrating. That's why our program is available - to help you get questions answered and problems solved concerning your transportation needs.

There are many options that can be installed on your chosen vehicle such as:

  • Adaptive Controls: Includes power-assisted hand controls and steering devices. Reduced-effort to zero-effort steering, brake and accelerator controls can be custom-fitted to the range and motion requirements of the operator.
  • Remote Control System: The automatic door and ramp functions are controlled by the standard keychain remote dash-mounted switches, key entry system or the optional hand-held remote.
  • Rear and Side Door Lifts: Rear-mounted lifts are used for wheelchair loading access to the rear of the van, with the middle seat left in place for the ambulatory passenger. Rear lifts can be equipped with power door operation and remote control. The side-mounted lift in a mini-van is the most practical use of space, especially for persons who need to access the driving position by wheelchair. The rear bench seat and front-passenger seat may be retained. Several different lifts and ramps can be installed to meet a variety of needs for mini-vans that will transport one or more passengers.

When you buy or lease any new Chrysler, DaimlerChrysler will give you a cash reimbursement to help cover the cost of installing the adaptive driver or passenger equipment on your vehicle.

Leased vehicles must be leased for a minimum of 12 months to be eligible. Adaptive equipment is defined as equipment required by persons with a permanent disability to drive, enter, exit and/or be transported safely in a motor vehicle. Factory optional equipment does not qualify for reimbursement.

Conversions to full-size Conversions to Chrysler Town & Country models may be reimbursed up to a maximum of $1,000. Conversions to all other eligible Chrysler models qualify for a maximum reimbursement of $750. Running boards qualify for a maximum reimbursement of $400. Alerting devices qualify for a maximum reimbursement of $200. These reimbursements will not be reduced or affected by any additional outside funding. Consult your dealer for complete eligibility requirements.

Please note that not all equipment is compatible with every Chrysler vehicle. Please call or email us with any questions you may have about the Automobility Program at 1-866-484-5225 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
